Local betting landscape
Colombia was Latin America's first regulated online market, licensing betting and casino through Coljuegos from 2016. Licensed sites use .co domains, winnings above a threshold are taxed, and advertising is permitted under Coljuegos rules with affiliates operating for licensed brands.

Coljuegos began licensing online operators in 2016 under Agreement 4 of 2016. Licences run for five years and require Colombian domains and local presence.
Rules that matter to players

Advertising and affiliates
Advertising is allowed for licensed operators with responsible-gambling messages. Affiliates promote licensed brands and unlicensed domains are blocked.
Tax
Operators pay 15 per cent of gross gaming revenue, plus a 19 per cent VAT on deposits imposed temporarily in 2025. Winnings above the statutory threshold are taxed at 20 per cent.
